We did it! $13,318 raised!
In April 2019, we launched our first VIP Experience & Charity Giving event during MotoGP race weekend in Austin, TX. Thanks to the overwhelming support from our friends, corporate sponsors and military families, it was a smashing success!
Here is a letter from MotoUP 2019’s non-profit charity recipient VETMotorsports:
Dear Juan, Szu-Moy, Mei & Andrew,
On behalf of our CEO Pete Cline, our Board of Directors, all of our volunteers, and the many veterans who take part in our programs each year, I would like to express our most heartfelt appreciation for your support of VETMotorsports’ First Annual Austin MotoGP Fundraising Event.
The weekend was an unqualified success!
With your help, we raised $13,318 to support the VETMotorsports mission.
Beyond the obvious impacts of these financial donations, I would like to personally acknowledge the incalculable value of you. Indeed, we began the weekend as little more than a gathering of friends and strangers. But we concluded it as members of an extended family—united by a worthy purpose and enabled by our collective power to create positive change.
Indeed, even in just the short time we spent together, your participation has already helped to increase awareness and understanding; building countless new bridges of hope and empowerment upon a foundation of charity, community, gratitude, and service.
It was an honor and a privilege to have you there.
Thank you! We are already planning for next year and look forward to seeing you again. In the meantime, please spread the word about our experiences together. Of course, you are always welcome to help at our events around the country (please visit www.vetmotorsports.org to learn more) or through continued financial donations, but one of the greatest contributions you can make is to simply spread the word about the tremendous power of empowerment; about what we are doing here; about why it matters.
Each day, another 22 veterans will take their own lives—dwarfing, in the aggregate, the number of all who have ever fallen at the hands of our adversaries. Last weekend, you did something to change that. Together, we’ll do even more.
Semper Fidelis,
J.A. Bianco, President, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret).
Thank you to our 2019 Sponsors!
